SHANIA TWAIN AND HUSBAND CALL IT QUITS
 Shania Twain and her husband, producer Robert "Mutt" Lange, have separated after 14 years of marriage. Twain's publicist confirmed the split, saying, "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."
- Lange produced all of Twain's albums, beginning with 1995's The Woman In Me. Their 1997 collaboration, Come On Over, sold more than 15 million copies, making it the biggest-selling U.S. album since the creation of SoundScan. There is no word yet on whether Lange will continue on as Twain's producer.

- Twain and Lange have one son together, six-year-old Eja (ASIA).
- The couple married in 1993.
