RICHIE SAMBORA CHARGED WITH DUI

The Orange County, California District Attorney's office formally charged Richie Sambora with DUI on Tuesday (April 22nd), but the Bon Jovi guitarist avoided a misdemeanor child endangerment count. The Laguna Beach Police had recommended that Sambora face the additional charge after he was pulled over on March 25th with 10-year-old daughter Ava and her teenage cousin in the car.

The 48-year-old was arrested that night after police spotted him driving unsteadily. Testing revealed that he had a blood alcohol level of .13 at the time.
If convicted, Sambora faced a maximum penalty of six months in jail. His arraignment is set for May 7th.
Ava is Sambora's daughter with ex-wife Heather Locklear. His current girlfriend, Jenn Mallini, was in the car with him at the time of his arrest.

BEYONCE & JAY-Z FILE SIGNED MARRIAGE LICENSE

Music stars Beyonce and Jay-Z have yet to publicly acknowledge their April 4th nuptials, but their legal paperwork says it all. The newlywed couple filed their signed wedding license on Friday, April 18th, in Scarsdale, New York, the same place they applied for the license.

People.com confirmed that the Scarsdale town clerk received the completed license, which lists April 4th as the wedding date, on Friday afternoon. The couple applied for the license just three days before the ceremony. Though Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Carter filed the signed form late -- it was due April 8th -- the suburban township often waives the penalty for missed deadlines, according to the clerk.
Beyonce and Jay-Z were hitched in a private rooftop ceremony in New York City's SoHo section, surrounded by close friends and family.
Neither have yet been seen sporting wedding rings, though Beyonce was photographed at a recent stop on her hubby's current co-headlining tour with Mary J. Blige wearing an impressive diamond engagement ring.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE STREET BAND PAY TRIBUTE TO DANNY FEDERICI IN CONCERT

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band took the stage last night in (April 22nd) Tampa, Florida and throughout the night paid tribute to their late keyboardist and cofounder Danny Federici.

Federici died last week after a three year battle with melanoma.

According to several fan reports prior to the band taking the stage a video tribute to Federici was shown over the 1995 studio track of "Blood Brothers" which has come to be known as Springsteen's emotional statement on his personal relationship with the band.

Springsteen and the E Street Band -- including Patti Scialfa who has been absent from this leg of the tour to stay home with the Springsteen's kids -- then took the stage without Federici current replacement Charlie Giordano for an emotional version of Springsteen's 1975 classic "Backstreets." Giordano joined the band after the first number.

Throughout the night several numbers popped up that symbolized the E Street Band's commitment to their past, their audience and each other, including "No Surrender," "Atlantic City," and the rarely played "Growin' Up," and "Racing In The Street."

After performing Federici's signature piece "4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)" Springsteen, who was visibly crying, walked over to pianist Roy Bittan and kissed him.

The band performed the gospel spiritual "I'll Fly Away" for Federici as the show's first encore with only Springsteen, Garry Tallent on Bass, Max Weinberg on tambourine, and Bittan on Federici's first instrument, the accordion.
The encores also featured such E Street powerhouses as "Rosalita," and "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out."
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band perform tonight in Orlando, Florida at the Amway Arena.
